VMware is the industry king. The offer an incredible feature set and pretty good support. Troubleshooting the command line requires some knowledge but that's a given. Can't say enough great things about this product. We're 100% virtual on the server side and now moving to VDI with View on the desktop side. The centralized management an control is unparalleled.

I started testing on the free ESXi and will never leave. Consolidation of p2v couldnt be easier. Granddaddy of them all. They have a lot of good features that would be needed by the Enterprise based company, but for SMB's can be a killer to moving to Virtualized environment.

So many of VMware vSphere's features are mature and have been proven reliable and stable, unlike other vendors who are playing catch up and are just now rushing to offer some of these capabilities. I'll stay away from these "beta" offerings! I trust VMware and the majority of the industry does as well.
