Azure Active Directory Premium provides single sign-on to thousands of cloud (SaaS) apps and access to web apps you run on-premises. Built for ease of use, Azure Active Directory Premium features multi-factor authentication (MFA); access control based on device health, user location, and identity; and holistic security reports, audits, and alerts.

Identity Protection helps you protect your organization from compromised accounts, identity attacks, and configuration issues. It provides a consolidated view into suspicious sign-in activities and potential vulnerabilities based on signals like brute force attacks, leaked credentials, sign ins from unfamiliar locations and devices and via notifications, analysis and remediation recommendations protects against these activities in real-time. More importantly, based on these suspicious activities, a user risk severity is calculated and Risk-Based policies can be configured and automatically protect your identities from future threats.

These risk-based policies in addition to other conditional access controls can either block access or offer adaptive remediation actions that include password reset requests and Multi-Factor Authentication enforcement.
