Easy, great support, totally legitimate

They didn't have Home Premium in stock so they upgraded me to Professional at no charge. Yea! The instructions on how to download, burn a DVD and install worked flawlessly.

After installing hours of Windows update, I went to the Computer:Properties dialog and clicked the Activate link. It didn't work over the Internet. I called the 888 number for tech support they gave me in the download email. I got through quickly. Kevin, the support tech, explained to me that with older versions of Windows like this, the Internet method often didn't work. He told me to click the phone option. It showed me an 800 number and 8 strings of 6 digit numbers. Kevin told me that if I called that number, I would get an automated system that would generate the numbers I needed to enter. Or Kevin could help me right then. So I read him the numbers, he entered them in a system for me and gave me the activation numbers back. it worked perfectly! Yea!

WIndows 7 is, in my opinion, the best option for PCs right now, especially non touch screen ones. Tech Supply Shop gave me that choice at a fair price. There are vendors of cheaper bootleg copies of Win 7 delivered over Bit Torrent, but those are illegal and sketchy. How do you know that they don't have malware embedded in them? Answer: you don't. Caveat emptor. Go with these guys and you are honest and safe.

I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.

A Great Experience!

I needed a copy of Windows to install on my Early 2011 MacBook Pro. So I looked for a reputable seller and found myself at Tech Supply Shop. I found out from Apple that the newest OS I could install was Windows 7. Tech Supply Shop had a downloadable copy w/ product key at a decent price. It took a little bit of manipulation to put an "orange" on an "Apple ", but with the helpful support team at TSS,I was able to install Windows 7 in Bootcamp. Works like a charm!

Windows 7

I also bought the Windows 7 package to upgrade a computer running Vista - I got tired Chrome telling me they were unsupported in VISTA. I had no problems with the download, although I discovered I didn't need to buy the flash drive backup because I created on in the installation process. Oh well. It took me two attempt to figure out the right way to install it - no big deal - the first time I booted from the flash drive only to find out I needed to boot normally and run setup from the flash drive. I did have one other problem - I opted for the install package to look for install updates, and after running over night I contacted MyChoice - I got through on the phone almost immediately and they suggested I opt for the other installation choice. The updates took awhile to install and required several manual reboots, but that is to be expected because Windows downloaded all updates available and tried to install them at once, and some require previous updates to actually be installed. Lastly, about 2 days after the install a message popped up saying my copy of Windows was not valid. I again contacted Customer Support not expecting an immediate answer because it was outside of their service window, yet I did get an email response that night. Following the instructions in that email I was able to validate my copy via the telephone system and all has been well since then. Very impressed with their customer service and technical support
