Excellent Product!

It is an excellent product. In my opinion it is the best solution out there to backup VMware servers. And we tried several before choosing Veeam Backup & Replication Standard for Hyper-V. It has become a little more pricey since we first started using them, but is not out of line with what other solutions cost. Better direct intergartions with all cloud storage services. I hear that they have done this already with some providers and are working on more. So, I will be looking ore into these solutions as they progress and grow.

Best Practices

I would like for them to do free online and on-demand training for people that have purchased Veeam Backup & Replication Standard for Hyper-V. We learned best practices by reading, googling, and playing with the product. However, trial and error in a test environment does help get you quite familiarized with the product. I suppose doing is learning in that aspect.It is quite straight forward and not difficult to use. We did learn some best practices by just playing with it and testing it and trail and error on test servers. But, it is overall not overly complex to use as far as backup products goes. It is more user friendly than most others out there. It is also feature rich and runs backups quite quickly.

Best Supported

We were having more and more issues with Veeam Backup & Replication Standard for Hyper-V and getting support since the Purchase by Veritas. We switched to selling Veeam Backup & Replication Standard for Hyper-V and it has been great. Far fewer problems and support is terrific when we do need assistance. The CloudConnect feature is great for replicating to a cloud target. I think we took the correct path in downloading trials of many differnt solutions to back up our virtual environment. We found Veeam to be the most robust and best supported.
