DISAPPOINTED

I purchased Acronis Disk Director 12 to clone my SSD. It advertises the Clone feature on the box, and also step-by-step instructions are provided on the Acronis web site; however, no Clone feature appears as addressed through by instructions, I have used multiple successfully tested portable drives with no luck. I do have my SSD BitLocker encrypted which is the only other element I can think of that may prevent this feature from becoming available, but I found nothing on the Acronis web site or the user manual that addresses BitLocker obstructing this feature.

A minor anomaly I discovered is that the Acronis DD 12 fails to read my drive status (thus no drive management functions are available) if I have two USB portable hard drives activated. Unplug either one and the Acronis DD 12 runs fine (save no cloning feature). Ironically Acronis runs fine with a portable hard drive and a flash drive plugged in simultaneously, but not two Western Digital portable hard drives. This is manageable, but does require plugging or unplugging to run Acronis.

Thus far, the only Acronis DD 12 features and functions that have been successful, are those offered by Windows 10 through Disk Maintenance. So the GUI may be bit more friendlier, but overall the program has not been of benefit
