Major Improvement

I know that others have reported problems, but Parallels Desktop 7 For Mac Retail Box installed without a hitch on my MacBook. Windows runs fine (but no better than on a PC, except that it has not crashed yet). I had a problem running coherence mode but was automatically instructed to reinstall tools, which solved the problem. I had used a previous version of Parallels but this current one is a major improvement.

Quite pleased, even with bugs

I've been a staunch Mac user for over 15 years and finally had to succumb to installing Windows Vista on my Apple laptop for business reasons. I installed Parallels Desktop 7 For Mac Retail Box and am quite pleased with the interaction it facilitates between both operating systems. One of my favorite features is you can choose which application you want to be the default handler for certain tasks. For example, you could set Outlook in Windows as your default mail and Firefox in Mac is your default browser. This is really handy to utilize the best OS for the application. Another feature I like is you can cut and paste or drag and drop files between your Mac operating system and any Windows application running in Parallels. Super helpful!! There are so many well thought out features I could go on and on -- just get it!

Well done!

Have used MS Virtual PC for both Mac and Windows as well as VMWare. Parallels wins against both of them hands down. Very easy to install and start using right away. Have not had any issues with it at all. Packed with all sorts of features if you are interested in using them. Parallels Desktop 7 For Mac Retail Box is just the best software if you want to stay on mac but still use software as if you were using windows . Well done!
