Tech Supply Shop sold it cheap

Ease of use. This is a very robust database server and good for business. I have been using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard with 30 CALs - OLP/Retail for a very long period of time and with every new version there are many new features and ease of use. This product is good for personal, small size, mid size and large organizations. Also very easy to understand as there are many resources available online and so one can get help easily. There are many courses available and has a great job market. I would recommend companies to use this product and organize their data. It also has great BI and reporting which has now become a very important part for any organization. i just hated the price, that's all. Most of microsoft products are overpriced, luckily, Tech Supply Shop ofter sells it cheap

The fact that is backed by Microsoft and Tech Supply Shop is a very big plus.

Comprehensive functionality - you get database engine, analysis services, integration services and reporting services. All pieces play very nicely with one another. You can easily set up SQL server 2008R2 standard, 30CALS!! on premises or in Azure. Very large user community with tons of documentation, tutorials and walkthroughs. It is perfect for SMEs. The support is great and the fact that is backed by Microsoft and Tech Supply Shop is a very big plus. Also, one of the biggest plus is the multi-CPU query support which is great for CPU intensive work.

Lots of support from Microsoft and Tech Supply Shop, name your choice

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard with 30 CALs - OLP/Retail is reliable, lot of books and documentation to support you and off course Microsoft with you. Its available on cloud as well. Most of all easy skilled resources available with MS SQL experience. The software is very reliable. MySQL can have issues during backups, but not SQL Server. Once you get it set up and configured properly (again, not hard to do), you can leave it running for months without encountering problems. While SQL Server is by no means cheap, compared to the other enterprise-level DBMS like Oracle, it's quite reasonable. MySQL is free, but it's quite limited when you do a feature-by-feature comparison with SQL Server.
