Next Level

Exchange 2013 user CAL really turns up the heat and takes Exchange to the next level. Really good product full of features. A bit heavy for the average SMB, might be too expensive to acquire and manage. Almost always this should be hosted rather than on premise today. Customer support from my choice wsoftware was quick and helpful. They were able and willing to show us all how to use the program and really took the support thing to the next level

Reliable performance

Having deployed Exchange 2013 server User CAL a couple of weeks ago, I'm very impressed with the functionality, reliability and performance - we moved from Exchange 2003 and I can already see that this iteration of Exchange is far less resource-intensive. The ECP takes some getting used to, but it's very functional although you'll need to look to PowerShell for more management capabilities. OWA is very nice, with its new Hotmail-esque look - and thankfully its cross-browser compatibility seems to be very good.

Not so easy to manage

2013 User CAL is the best Exchange has gotten so far; although, I have to admit I'd like more of a GUI so it's easier to manage out of the box. Yes, it's cool that all of it can be managed with powershell, but I've been spoiled and I am using a Windows server. GUI is (was) one of the "selling" points to it vs Linux/Unix, eh? In any case, It looks like MS is starting to add more GUI features (via web) to it ... slowly.
