Enterprises that demand the highest levels of compliance can use AppLocker to dictate which applications are allowed to run on user PCs, providing yet another way to limit the risk of malicious software.

Multiple Active Firewall Profiles

Windows 7 supports multiple active firewall policies, which allows user PCs to obtain and apply domain firewall profile information regardless of other networks that may be active on the PC.

VPN Reconnect
_____

While many organizations can use DirectAccess as their only way to connect remotely, some may still need to use VPN technology. By using Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) technology to provide consistent VPN connectivity, it automatically reestablishes a VPN when users temporarily lose their Internet connections.

Protect Workers and Infrastructure

**This is an upgrade for current Windows Vista users*

If you are a disgruntled Windows Vista user, you can revitalize your PC with this Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade License from Tech Supply Shop. Vista was not a popular operating system when it was introduced and never received favorable reviews from critics and consumers, primarily because of the higher system requirements for use over its predecessor Windows XP, longer boot times and not being compatible with pre-Vista hardware and software. Windows 7 brought new and refined features to the landscape and this operating system has a modern design style over its predecessors including a new look taskbar and the Snap window management system. Windows 7 also introduced Internet Explorer 8 and Windows Media Player 12 to the market. Windows 7 Professional includes networking and security features for use by larger businesses including an encrypting file system and the ability for users to join a workgroup known as Windows Domain. Note that this upgrade software is only for upgrading from Vista.

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade License

The bottom line is that the install worked out fine, albeit 5 hours long because the program said I must first uninstall Intel PROSet/Wireless along with a ist of other Lenovo ThinkPad related programs which it said might not work properly after the upgrade. Once I got past these issues the rest of the Win7 Prof. install took several more hours. The good news was that after all the reboots along the way, it was finally happy and all my old files and programs used with Vista were still working. I then had to spend time updating the Win7 Prof. once it was installed... lots of patches and security updates. Yes, I am very happy with the end result and am very glad I spent the time and effort to make it happen. It would have helped if I had known that it would be little more of challenge that I was led to believe after reading some of the other reviews. I never really knew whether the install would be successful, and am glad that I did a full backup before I started the process. Fortunately I did not need it.

      Smooth Interface

Windows 7 professional is a very smooth interface. I love it. Things are so intuitive. Aero interface is really nice. I had no problems with software conflicts. In fact, the only trouble I had was with Norton subscription, but a 20 minute call to their help line and everything was worked out. Overall, you have to buy this. If you are running XP, you must move up. However, I would recommend a whole new computer to save yourself hardware conflicts. If you are running Vista, you can skip this but I think it is worth the money. Of course, as an early adopter, I pre-ordered the Professional version for 50% off w/ Tech Supply Shop. Had they not run that special, I would have chosen Home Premium.

      No issues

No problems with the installation. If your computer is running XP, you definitely want to look at your hardware first. Otherwise, the installs on my desktop and wife's laptop were so smooth. The desktop took less than 30 minutes for a clean install. The laptop was a little longer at 45-60 minutes. However, reinstalling the programs took some time, though I was very prepared and it went smooth. I had zero problems installing drivers. My scanner is about 8 years old & expected problems; but there were none. Setting everything up was really simple, but things like Office just take time because you have to download the service packs (500MB). Otherwise, i had no issue with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade
